Guess what?? It is one year since I published my first cooking video on YouTube! Just like I started my blog in February, for some reason, I also started my YouTube channel in February. It was not planned this way, I promise. Maybe February is my month of (sudden) new beginnings. The epic first video was published on February 29 last year but since there’s no February 29 this year, I am celebrating today February 28. Ha.

The first time I did a test video with the camera man in chief (who is also the head of the tasting committee), Mr. N, he looked at me and said, “you were made to be in front of the camera”. These words have remained with me. Thank you darling for motivating me, for buying shooting props and for holding the camera even on days when you are so tired from work and feeling sleepy. Thank you!

And thank you, my beloved readers and viewers! What would I do without you?? Thank you for watching and for giving me all the sweet compliments. Thank you for sending me pictures of the meals you made! That motivates to do more.

So far, we have published 22 episodes of Precious Kitchen plus a few other videos, two of which were sponsored. Thanks to each one of you who has subscribed. They are now 1555 of you! If you haven’t subscribed yet, you can do so here.

I’m so excited about this one! How-to-enter details will be communicated on my Facebook page. Unfortunately, I can only do this for readers in the United States – for easy shipping. How I wish the giveaway could be open to everyone!

P.S. Because today is a special day, I will continue the “minimalism series” next week.

Lemme goan celebrate.

  5. Congrats on this great milestone….really worth celebrating! You should indeed be grateful for a supportive African husband. I daresay they’re hard to come by. Lol. The kitchen section is my favorite part of the blog and what drew me (and kept me spellbound) here in the first place. The BTS video is hilarious.I can totally relate with whoever was wondering aloud if you wanted to finish the soya haha. I also find that most of us paysans shake our heads from side to side to indicate how wonderful a meal is when asked. Lol. Keep up the good work and cheers to many more happy, fruitful and productive years in the blogging ministry 🙂 .

    1. You are right, Kwandah. Supportive African husbands are hard to come by.
Lol. That was Mr N’s voice at the back.
I didn’t notice paysans shake their head while enjoying a meal. I’ll lookout for that. Lol
With awesome readers like you, the blogging ministry can only move forward. Thank you!

  6. I have fractured a rib from laughing – the chopping onions like a chef on tv to Mr N wondering if u wanted to eat all the soya part cracked me up! Happy YouTuberversary Hun. You and Mr N were made for each other. And oh btw – you have such lovely smile and beautiful eyes! Chaiii! I could go on and on and on but that’ll only leave me sounding like a broken record lol.
