Optional Add-Ins for Red Cabbage Slaw
- For a touch of green, consider adding some chopped parsley or chopped green onion.
- For more flavor and bite, consider adding some chopped onion. Yellow or red onion would work.
- Add maple syrup to the dressing for some sweetness.
Red Cabbage or Purple Cabbage?
“Is it red or purple cabbage?” you may ask. This cabbage mostly has a deeply purple color but it is widely referred to as red cabbage. This is probably because, in some areas, the cabbage grows to be red depending on the soil it grows in.
