    NEW YEAR'S DAY MENU

I can't believe the year is almost ended. As in 2016 ends in 2 days?! Adonbilivit. I know a lot of us are thinking of menu ideas to celebrate the new year. If you read the Christmas menu ideas post you will find loads of ideas there that you can equally apply to your new year's eve or day celebration. So I'll urge you to check out the post if you haven't done so already. I just wanted to share my New Year Day's menu with you so perhaps you could pick some ideas from it. Feel free to share yours with me too. If yours sounds more inviting, I might switch camps.

If a recipe tickles your fancy, click on its name to be taken to the step by step instructions. Here we go:

    Snacks

Chin Chin: I never get tired of this thing they call Chin Chin. I made some for Christmas and I am definitely making more for the New Year.

    New Year's Day special breakfast:

Milk Bread (Pain au Lait). This is the easiest bread recipe ever and it is fool proof! Will be making some for my family. There'll perhaps be some avocado salad on the side.

    Appetisers:

Fish Rolls, Scotch Eggs, with killer pepper sauce on the side. Amen.

    Main dishes:

Coconut Fried Rice and grilled chicken(no grilled chicken recipe on the blog yet).

Egusi pudding and boiled plantains. I love egusi pudding!

Achu and Yellow Soup. My daughter loves this meal so much so I'll be making a little quantity for her to enjoy.

    Salads:

Coleslaw. It's a great salad to make ahead so I'll probably make it on Saturday night.

    Dessert

    Vanilla ice cream. Yum!

That's it, friends. On New Year's Day we have a night of worship in church. Soooo looking forward to it.

What are you making for the New Year's celebration? Any plans for the day?pre-signature-pro

I've been seriously craving ice-cream and this post had to remind me. I don't know the full new year's day menu but I know fried rice and grilled chicken will be on it. Hope you had a great Christmas. Happy New year in advance. Off to check the Egusi pudding post.
